Color Accuracy at Event Scale
Turning a difficult target color into a repeatable large-format production standard through test printing, production oversight and client education.

The Challenge
The same numeric color does not reproduce identically across screens, inkjet and offset printing.
RSA has a target brand color that is particularly sensitive to color shift. Across a large conference environment, small differences become highly visible.
RGB screen values, CMYK large-format inkjet output and offset CMYK printing each reproduce color differently.
The Approach
Color accuracy became a shared production standard rather than a reactive correction.
I spent time at the production facility overseeing test prints and evaluating output on the actual equipment and materials before full runs.
I also worked with the client to clarify why screen color and physical print output vary, helping establish a realistic shared visual target.

The Result
Reprints dropped from 10% to 1.2%, with my personal average below 1%. In 2026, zero items were returned for color mismatch, connecting hands-on production knowledge directly to brand consistency and operational performance.
